It’s what replaces it—and whether that replacement liberates or disciplines us.

Shahidi Islam approaches theology not as belief enforcement, but as critical inquiry into how ideas of God shape power, psychology, and social order.

Rooted in the godbody tradition founded by Father Clarence (who he calls Allah out of respect for his mission), his work affirms Black divinity, ethical self-mastery, and knowledge of self—without supremacy, mysticism, or dogmatics.
